This volume describes in detail the different strong motion networks, stations and instruments operated in Mexico since 1960. It gives a general overview of the networks in operation and the location of 402 strong motion recording stations installed between 1960 and 1992. It includes a detailed description of each site, its instrumentation with some photographs about its installation, main characteristics of the accelerographs used, its operating status and a list of the institutions in charge. At the end an extensive list of related publications is given as a reference.
The catalog has 210 pages and was published in September 1993 by the Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Sísmica.

Catalog of Accelerograms 1960-1993

This second volume of the database contains detailed data of 5252 three-component accelerograms recorded in Mexico from 1960 to December 1993. Each accelerogram is fully described, including record identification, date and recording time, length, peak acceleration values for each component and specification of the recording instrument, among others. Information about 925 earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 8.1 which generated these records is also given. General statistics about the data collected in more than three decades are presented and cross references to allow users to easily locate any record from a broad spectrum of accelerograms and events. As a basic reference, an extensive list of about 120 related publications which have been produced in the past 34 years in Mexico is presented at the end.
The book has 499 pages and was published in July 1995 by the Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Sísmica.

Update of the Catalog of Accelerograph Stations to 1995 and Accelerograms to 1994. Catalog of the records from the earthquakes of September 14, October 9 and 21, 1995 (Spanish)
This publication is an update of the information presented in the previous two volumes. Data about strong motion stations and instruments in Mexico are updated to 1995 and 1230 accelerograms recorded in 1994 are described. Because of its interest and importance, all records produced from the Copala earthquake of September 14, 1995 (M=7.3), the Colima earthquake of October 9, 1995 (M=7.5) and the Chiapas earthquake of October 21, 1995 (M=6.5) are also presented in this catalog. Data about these earthquakes and those occurred in 1994 and 1995 are given. A large list of related publications about the networks, records and earthquakes produced in 1992 to 1996 is presented at the end.

Compact disc with the Catalog of Accelerograph Stations 1960 to 1995 and the accelerograms from 1992 to 1995, Volume I, 1997 (Spanish)

This first CD-ROM, describes the structure of the Mexican Strong Motion Database and presents, in a condensed form, complete information about strong motion instrumentation and recordings, as well as associated seismicity that has been gathered in Mexico from 1960 to 1995. It also contains the time series of 4659 accelerograms recorded from 1992 to 1995, all in a new standard data format. A search system is included to facilitate the user to have access to the data by earthquake, accelerograph station or accelerogram code. The records obtained by this search can then be displayed, printed out or transferred to another storage device.
The CD-ROM was published on May 1997 by Mexican Society of Seismic Engineering and it was printed by CENEDIC, Colima University.
