High School (CCH, ENEP, Online high school)

The National Autonomous University of Mexico has nine campuses of the National Preparatory School and five of the School of Sciences and Humanities, in which education is given at a high school level.


The National Preparatory School, as part of the Mexican educational system and the preparatory level of the UNAM, has the commitment and the obligation to meet satisfactorily the challenges and demands of the University and of society as a whole, and to continue being the model of education for Mexican High Schools.

  • National Preparatory School No. 3 "Justo Sierra" 
  • National Preparatory School No. 4 "Vidal Castañeda y Nájera"
  • National Preparatory School No. 5 "José Vasconcelos"
  • National Preparatory School No. 6 "Antonio Caso" 
  • National Preparatory School No. 7 "Ezequiel A. Chávez" 
  • National Preparatory School No. 8 "Miguel E. Schulz" 
  • National Preparatory School No. 9 "Pedro de Alba"

The School of Science and Humanities (CCH) has five campuses that offer a high school education in six semesters. The CCH system consists of an active, and to a large extent, independent education, as the student participates in a committed and resolute way in his or her own learning process.

Additionally, the UNAM has developed a programme of Distance High School for Spanish-speaking migrants in the United States and Canada.
